Abbesse du Lac is a small team of five people, with different backgrounds but driven by the same passion: wine, life and the joy of creation.

We come from diverse backgrounds, with complementary experiences. What brings us together? The desire to work differently, respecting the Earth and the human spirit.

United in our objectives, we move forward together with a clear vision, placing people, exchange and trust at the heart of our relationships.

Abbesse du Lac is, above all else, a human and passionate adventure, made up of encounters, long-term projects and shared enjoyment — from the vineyard to the glass.

Abbesse du Lac was born from the encounter between its founders and an exceptional "terroir vaudois" . Located on the slopes of La Côte, between Lake Geneva and the Jura mountains, the company draws inspiration from the beauty and diversity of its environment to create meaningful products.

Originally, the project was built around wine and biodynamics, respecting life and natural cycles. Very quickly, a broader vision emerged: not just to produce alcohol, but to imagine a responsible and complementary offer, linked to nature and health. With this in mind, lemon cultivation was then introduced to diversify the range of products.

Abbesse du Lac's objective is to build a comprehensive ecosystem, combining quality, innovation and local roots. Each product reflects the desire to return to the land, to observe, understand and work with living things rather than constrain them.

Created from scratch, Abbesse du Lac embodies a modern entrepreneurial vision. : combining Swiss winemaking tradition with a more conscious approach to consumption. It is a story of cultural encounters, deep roots in a unique landscape, and a commitment to sustainable future in the heart of the Canton de Vaud.

HISTORY

In the heart of La Côte, between the gentle slopes of Bon Mont and the peaceful reflections of Lake Geneva, an ancient and living history unfolds. Here, the Cistercians were the first to understand the depth of the place — this subtle dialogue between light, stone and vines. They established a tradition, a savoir-faire where balance is born of simplicity and respect for life.

From Mont-sur-Rolle to the entire La Côte vineyard, the diversity of grape varieties reveals the soul of a unique terroir: Chasselas, Pinot Noir, Gamay or Gamaret... each wine bears the signature of a generous soil and a climate tempered by the lake. This mosaic of flavours and textures forms a harmony, a language unique to the region.

Today, this ancestral inspiration guides the desire to create an umbrella brand, a universe where complementary products coexist — wines, wellness drinks, biodynamic creations — all united by the same requirement: to express the truth of a terroir, the beauty of life, and the richness of diversity.

VINEYARDS

We produce our wines using biodynamic methods, and our approach goes even further: in addition to our wines, we have expanded our expertise by developing a range of natural lemon-based drinks — beer, spritz, water kefir and ginger beers — in order to create a broader, more responsible universe, linked to consumer well-being and enjoyment.

These are differentbut complementaryproducts, linked by the same philosophy: pleasure, nature and balance.
